Results: 19 New Cases of COVID-19
Nineteen (19) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 370 tests performed on Thursday, January 21. Fourteen (14) cases were identified through contact tracing. Two (2) cases reported recent travel and were identified in quarantine.
To date, there have been a total of 7,547 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 128 deaths, 126 cases in active isolation and 7,293 not in active isolation.

1The COVID Area Risk (CAR) Score accounts for the incidence of new cases, how well current testing identifies these cases, and the rate of spread. The ideal long-term goal is to sustain a CAR Score of 2.5 or less, which has been shown to correlate with very low to zero COVID-related hospitalizations and deaths.

Division of Environmental Health’s Operations Relative to PCOR 2
In line with PCOR 2, DPHSS’ Division of Environmental Health (DEH) announces the following:

DEH Plans & Specifications Section:
Business License, Child Care License, H2 Worker, ABC License, Building Permit, and Occupancy Clearances and Sanitary Permit applications

Individuals needing these services can visit the Business License and Permit Center (BLPC) located in Upper Tumon every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact 646-1276.

DEH Processing Center Section (PCS):

Health Certificate Issuance: Individuals needing to apply or renew their Health Certificate can visit PCS from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The application and required documents for the different categories can be downloaded by clicking HERE.

Controlled Substances Registration (CSR): Healthcare professionals needing to apply or renew their CSR can visit PCS to drop off their application from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The application can be downloaded by clicking HERE. Please ensure copies of board license and DEA registration are attached to the CSR application, along with a check payable to “Treasurer of Guam.” Cash payments will not be accepted.

Sanitary Permit payments and pick-up: Individuals that need to make a payment or to pick-up their Sanitary Permit are encouraged to call PCS at 300-9579 to verify the exact amount to be paid and determine if the Sanitary Permit is ready for pick-up.

Disinterment/Disinterment-Reinterment Applications: Individuals seeking clearance for Disinterment/Disinterment-Reinterment can drop-off all applications and required documents to PCS Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
