No Tsunami Threat from Tanaga Volcano, Alaska Earthquake

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.6, at 7:56 AM (ChST).  The earthquake was reported 51.509N 178.077W with a depth of 31km on Andreanof Islands, Aleutian Islands, Alaska US.

As advised by the National Weather Service, Weather Forecast Office Guam, there is NO tsunami threat to Guam or the Marianas from the earthquake. 

This will be the only statement issued unless additional information is received.
