No Tsunami Threat to Marianas from Nearby Earthquake

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.7 that occurred about 24 miles west of Guam at 7:21 pm ChST, with a depth of 307 miles.
As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is no tsunami threat to Guam or the Marianas at this time. This will be the final statement issued by GHS/OCD unless additional information is received.
