The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.6 that occurred near the Colima-Michoacan border region, Mexico, with a depth of 15.1 km, at 4:05 a.m. (ChST).
As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is no tsunami threat to Guam or the Northern Mariana Islands at this time.
This will be the final statement issued by GHS/OCD unless additional information is received.
