No Tsunami Threat to Marianas from 5.8 Earthquake

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 that occurred 49 km NE of Yigo Village, Guam, with a depth of 113.3 km, at 10:55 p.m. (ChST).

As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is no tsunami threat to Guam or the Marianas at this time. There were no major reports of damages or injuries from the earthquake.

This will be the final statement issued by GHS/OCD unless additional information is received.
