JIC RELEASE NO. 466 - Regulations Governing the Enforcement of Public Health Guidance Memoranda and Directives During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency EffectiveThursday, November 26, 2020

Effective Thursday, November 26, 2020, in accordance with 10 GCA § 19802, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), in coordination with the Guam Police Department (GPD), will begin the enforcement of DPHSS Guidance Memoranda and Directives during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency first declared by Governor Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero in Executive Order No. 2020-03 on March 14, 2020, and extended in several Executive Orders thereafter. 

 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 465 - 108th COVID-19-Related Fatality Reported

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 108th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) at approximately 6:50 p.m last night. The patient was a 48-year-old male with underlying conditions that were further compounded by COVID-19. He tested positive on November 21 and was admitted to USNH on November 24, 2020. 

 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 464 - 107th COVID-19-Related Fatality Reported; Results: 53 Test Positive for COVID-19

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 107th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) at approximately 12:15 a.m. The patient was a 55-year-old female with underlying conditions that were further compounded by COVID-19. She was admitted to GMH on November 8, 2020 and tested positive upon admission.
   

Earthquake Recorded

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3 that struck about 84 miles east northeast of Guam, with a depth of 76.1 km, at 10 a.m. (ChST).

 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 461 - Two COVID-19-Related Fatalities Reported;Results: 73 of 248 Test Positive for COVID-19;Rapid Engagement Team Completes Community Outreach in NCS & Piga, Dededo

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 105th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) at approximately 11 a.m. on November 21, 2020. The patient was a 59-year-old male with underlying conditions that were further compounded by COVID-19. He was admitted to USNH on October 31, 2020 and tested positive upon admission.
