Rip Currents are Life Threatening; NWS Advisories in Effect

The National Weather Service (NWS), Guam Weather Forecast Office continue to monitor a circulation, now called Tropical Depression 17, that is expected to pass well northeast of Saipan tonight but the clouds and rain are west and southwest of the center, dragging heavy rain across the Marianas through Monday morning.

Thunderstorm Advisory in Effect; Rainy Weather Expected Next Week

The National Weather Service (NWS), Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a thunderstorm advisory for the Guam International Airport until 10 a.m. Thunderstorms are possible within 20 nautical miles of the airport. Be alert and take precautions as required. If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, seek shelter. 

Rainy Weather Expected Next Week; Be Alert for Advisories

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office continue to monitor the development of a large monsoonal circulation developing over the area, expected to move across the Marianas this weekend and into the Philippine Sea next week. The monsoonal circulation will keep scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Marianas from Saturday night into part of next week.
