Officials Monitor Tropical Disturbance Near Chuuk; Development Possible as it Moves Toward Marianas

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office continues to monitor a tropical disturbance just southeast of Chuuk. “Invest Area 94W” is currently unorganized with a broad circulation located near 6 degrees north latitude and 153 degrees east longitude. It is expected to organize over the next 36 hours and it is in a favorable location for further development, as it tracks west-northwestward toward Guam. 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 702 - One of 372 Tests Positive for COVID-19; DPHSS Guidance Memo 2021-17;COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; Food Commodities Distribution Continues

One (1) new case of COVID-19 was identified out of 372 tests performed Thursday, June 17. To date, there have been a total of 8,267 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 51 cases in active isolation, and 8,077 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.3.
   

Shelter Management Training Offered Virtually

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Guam Department of Education, the Mayors’ Council of Guam, and the American Red Cross of Guam, will host the Shelter Management Training virtually on Monday, June 21 and Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m
