Pfizer-BioNTech Shipment Arrives
On Friday, April 16, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) received its shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines. A total of 2,340 doses were received in good condition. This completes the April allotment of the Pfizer Bio-NTech vaccine for the month of April.


Results: Six New Cases of COVID-19
Six (6) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 164 tests performed on Friday, April 16.

To date, there have been a total of 7,865 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 136 deaths, 47 cases in active isolation, and 7,682 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.3.

Participants will be instructed to enter through the A-wing and directed to exit through the gymnasium after they complete their observation period. Those who pre-registered for the event will be prioritized. Bring a photo ID. This event is hosted by the American Medical Center (AMC), in partnership with the MCOG, GRMC, the FSM Consulate Office, DPHSS, the FSM Association of Guam, Micronesian Resource Center One-Stop Shop, Chuukese Catholic Faith Association, UOG Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program, and other FSM community organizations and leaders.

FOR: Residents 16 years and older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. Upon arrival, individuals 60 years and older will be sent to the front of the line.

 

COVID-19 Community Testing on Tuesday, April 20 in Tiyan
COVID-19 community testing continues on Tuesday, April 20 at the old carnival grounds in Tiyan, Barrigada from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., or while supplies last. Up to 200 tests will be offered at this site. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Bring a photo ID. Testing for travel purposes will not be conducted at these community testing sites. Individuals seeking COVID-19 testing to travel off-island may contact the DPHSS Northern Region Community Health Center at 635-7525/6 to schedule an appointment. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. The parent or legal guardian will also be required to sign a consent form on behalf of the minor to be tested for COVID-19. For the safety of the community and nurses, only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested.

 

Food Commodities Distribution Continues

GDOE, State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Nutrition Service distribution will be available to village constituents only. Village Mayors distribution schedule for next week is as follows:
