DPHSS Places Order for Pfizer Johnson and Johnson/Janssen Vaccines
Last Friday, the Department of Public Health and Social Services’ (DPHSS) Immunization Program placed an order of 2,340 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, and 8,500 doses of the Johnson and Johnson/Janssen (J&J/Janssen) vaccines, totaling 10,840 additional COVID-19 vaccines for April. All vaccines are anticipated to arrive within three to five business days.
DPHSS’ request for an increase in its April allocation was granted. As part of its request, DPHSS’ April allocation for the J&J/Janssen vaccine expanded from 1,300 doses, which arrived earlier this month, to 18,200 doses. The remaining 8,400 doses will be ordered later this month.
Results: 5 New Cases of COVID-19
Five (5) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 645 tests performed by DPHSS on Sunday, April 11, and tests from additional labs from Friday, April 9 to Sunday, April 11. Four (4) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine. Three (3) cases were identified through contact tracing. *Note: This breakdown includes the 7 cases previously reported by the Joint Information Center since Friday, April 9, 2021.
To date, there have been a total of 7,842 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 136 deaths, 33 cases in active isolation, and 7,673 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.2.
