Results: Fourteen New Cases of COVID-19
Fourteen (14) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 428 tests performed on Thursday, February 4. One (1) case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine. Two (2) cases were identified through contact tracing.

To date, there have been a total of 7,636 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 129 deaths, 91 cases in active isolation and 7,416 not in active isolation.

Additional 9,200 Moderna Vaccines Arrive
A total of 9,200 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine arrived on Thursday, February 4, as part of Guam’s February vaccine allocation of 17,000 doses. This supply ensures an additional 4,600 individuals can be fully immunized and brings Guam’s total alloted doses received to 43,500. An additional 7,800 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive this weekend.

COVID-19 Vaccination Schedule for February 6
The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), in partnership with the Office of the Governor, the Guam National Guard, Guam Department of Education, University of Guam School of Health, Mayors’ Council of Guam, Department of Public Works, Guam Department of Labor, Guam Fire Department, Guam Police Department, the Serve Guam Commission which oversees the AmeriCorps Guam Program, the Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense, and the Judiciary of Guam, continues COVID-19 vaccination clinics for eligible residents. 

A vaccination clinic is scheduled for Okkodo High School on Saturday, February 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Priority will be given to those due for the second dose of the Moderna vaccine. Eligible residents are advised to schedule an appointment online via Eventbrite at the link provided above or click here. A limited number of walk-ins will be accepted hourly. 

All appointment slots are booked for UOG Fieldhouse through Saturday, February 6. A limited number of walk-ins will be accepted hourly. 


UPDATE: COVID-19 Vaccination Schedule for February 9-13 at UOG Fieldhouse
COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue Tuesday, February 9 through Saturday, February 13 at the UOG Fieldhouse from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. These clinics will prioritize those due for their second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine. Pfizer-BioNTech first doses will be limited to 50 per hour for eligible individuals. No first doses of the Moderna vaccine will be administered. Residents are advised to schedule an appointment online via Eventbrite. Click here to schedule and to learn more about eligibility requirements. 

Due to a higher demand for second dose vaccines on Wednesday, February 10, there is a separate Eventbrite link to schedule appointments. This clinic will prioritize those due for their second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine. Pfizer-BioNTech first doses will be limited to 50 per hour for eligible individuals. No first doses of the Moderna vaccine will be administered.

Please bring a digital or hard copy appointment confirmation and a photo ID. Those due for their second dose are reminded to bring their COVID-19 immunization card. This ensures quicker processing and proper documentation.


Pre-screening Eligibility for COVID-19 Vaccinations
To take the COVID-19 vaccine, you must meet the following pre-screening eligibility criteria*:

  • Must not be currently infected with COVID-19 or previously exposed within the last 14 days
  • Must not have received any other vaccine, such as the flu shot, in the last 14 days

*Please note: If this is your first time receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, please make sure you have never taken other COVID-19 vaccine products. Please visit dphss.guam.gov to view the pre-screening eligibility.

 

V-Safe Vaccine Symptom Monitoring 
After receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, register for v-safe, offered by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins. You can quickly report side effects and depending on your answers, you may receive a call from CDC. V-safe will remind you to get your second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Sign up at vsafe.cdc.gov.


Do Not Share Images of Your Vaccination Card on Social Media
Refrain from sharing images of your COVID-19 vaccination card on social media. Vaccination cards contain sensitive information (full name, birth date, and location), making you susceptible to identity theft. Keep your vaccination card safe at all times.

The Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center (GBHWC) has a Crisis Hotline available 24/7 at (671) 647-8833/4.
