At 2:35 p.m., Guam Fire Department (GFD) officials confirmed that the truck and LP tank were safely and successfully removed from the ravine by a private contractor using an excavator.
The Guam Police Department and Department of Revenue & Taxation Motor Carrier Division will continue their investigation into the cause of the crash.
As of 3:11 p.m., both southbound and northbound lanes of travel on Rt. 2 into Humåtak have been cleared and are open.
This will be the final statement issued by the Joint Information Center on the incident.
