93rd COVID-19-Related Fatality Reported
The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 93rd COVID-19-related fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) at approximately 12:06 p.m. The patient was a 59-year-old male with underlying conditions that were further compounded by COVID-19. He was a known COVID-19 case.

"May his memory be a blessing to those he left behind. Though words are never enough, to his family and friends, Jeff, Lt. Governor Josh, and I send our deepest condolences and sympathies," said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. "Each of us plays a part in this fight. We must continue to remain vigilant and slow the spread of this virus as best we can."

COVID-19 Community Outreach for Core Tech Workforce
DPHSS, in collaboration with the Dededo Mayor’s Office, Guam Homeland Security, Department of Public of Works, University of Guam School of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the Guam Community College Nursing and Allied Health Department, will be holding a COVID-19 community outreach for Core Tech International (CTI) on Saturday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ukudu Temporary Workforce Housing site.

Over 500 H2-B workers will be tested for COVID-19. DPHSS’ mobile lab will be set up at tomorrow’s outreach to be able to produce same-day results.

DPHSS will continue to work with CTI to ensure proper isolation of known positive cases, quarantine of close contacts, and to mitigate any spread of COVID-19 through contact tracing and investigation.

DOC Establishes Information Center
In response to the influx of calls from family due to confirmed COVID-19 cases among the prison population, the Department of Corrections (DOC) has established an information center for inquiries regarding inmates and detainees.

DOC’s information center number is 734-4016. This phone line will be manned by DOC case workers and will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Callers are reminded that DOC cannot disclose confidential information, such as COVID-19 test results. Prisoners, however, can contact their families via the PayTel phone system to provide updates.

GBHWC Crisis Hotline
The Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center (GBHWC) has a Crisis Hotline that is available 24/7 at (671) 647-8833/4. For those feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed or are needing to talk to someone, GBHWC has experienced providers available and ready to assist the community with any heightened stress and anxiety experienced as a result of COVID-19.
