JIC RELEASE NO. 442 - Cumulative Results: 181 Test Positive for COVID-19; Profiles of Confirmed Cases;DPR Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19

Cumulative Results
To date, there have been a total of 5,654 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 91 deaths, 1,896 cases in active isolation and 3,667 not in active isolation.

The Joint Information Center will now include the COVID Area Risk (CAR) Score per data available. As of November 10, 2020 the CAR Score is 23.5. The CAR Score accounts for the incidence of new cases, how well current testing identifies these cases, and the rate of spread. An ideal CAR Score for Guam would be 5.0 and below. Of the 181 new cases, 148 were identified through contact tracing. Two (2) cases reported recent travel, one from the United States and one from the Philippines, and were identified in quarantine.

DPR Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19
The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) main office in Hagåtña will be closed until further notice in light of a recent COVID-19 case among DPR staff. DPR was notified of the case on Tuesday and will be working with the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) to test identified close contacts. 

Public parks and beaches remain open. Although there will be no disruption in burial services, patrons are requested to call the DPR cashier at 475-6348 to make an appointment.

The Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center (GBHWC) has a Crisis Hotline that is available 24/7 at (671) 647-8833/4. For those feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed or are needing to talk to someone, GBHWC has experienced providers available and ready to assist the community with any heightened stress and anxiety experienced as a result of COVID-19.
