JIC RELEASE NO. 313 - Cumulative Results: Forty-three Test Positive for COVID-19; Profiles of Confirmed Cases

COVID-19 test results are reported from multiple labs at varying times of the day. The Joint Information Center will report cumulative COVID-19 test results once a day, unless unavailable.

The following breakdown provides cumulative COVID-19 test results reported to the Joint Information Center on Tuesday, September 8 and reflects results from Friday, September 4 - Monday, September 7:

Today, a total of 43 cases were officially reported to the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS). 

 
The following is a breakdown of results from September 4–7: 43 cases tested positive at DPHSS, 15 tested positive at Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA), 14 tested positive at Diagnostic Laboratory Services (DLS), 11 tested positive at Department of Defense (DoD), six tested positive at Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC), two tested positive at American Medical Center (AMC), two tested positive at One Love Pediatrics, and one tested positive at Guam Radiology Consultants. This includes 51 confirmed cases previously reported by the Joint Information Center (JIC) on Saturday, September 5. A follow-up positive test was previously reported as a positive case in error and was removed from the overall count. 
 

Thirty-five (35) cases were identified through contact tracing. Two cases reported recent travel from the U.S. and were identified in quarantine. 

To date, there have been a total of 1,713 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 19 deaths, 951 not in isolation, and 743 cases in active isolation. Of those cases, 1,472 are classified as civilians and 241 are military service members.
