JIC RELEASE NO. 233 - Cumulative Results: Three Test Positive for COVID-19; Profiles of Confirmed Cases; Governor Signs Executive Order 2020-25; Expanded COVID-19 Testing Continues

COVID-19 test results are reported from multiple labs at varying times of the day. The Joint Information Center will report cumulative COVID-19 test results once a day, unless unavailable.

Two cases tested positive by the Department of Defense (DoD). One case tested positive by Diagnostic Laboratory Services (DLS). Two reported household contact to a confirmed case. 

To date, there have been a total of 330 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 5 deaths, 242 released from isolation, and 83 active cases. Of those cases, 281 are classified as civilians and 49 are military service members.

Governor Signs Executive Order 2020-25 
Today, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero signed Executive Order 2020-25 relative to the continued suspension of the work search requirement for those receiving federal unemployment benefits, revised restrictions upon entry into Guam, and implementing measures to ensure the safe practice of certain economic activities.

EO 2020-25 suspends the work search requirement for claimants of the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) and Federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (FPUC) pending a designation of Pandemic Condition of Readiness 4 (PCOR 4). This provision supersedes EO 2020-17. 


Expanded COVID-19 Testing Continues
DPHSS, in collaboration with the Government of Guam, the Mayors Council of Guam, private, and federal agencies, continues expanded COVID-19 testing. 

Testing is free and open to the public while supplies last. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. If your village is not listed, please proceed to a neighboring village for testing. Please bring an ID, if one is available. The expanded testing schedule is as follows:

COVID-19 Drive-Through/Walk-In Testing:

  • Thursday, July 23, 2020, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Asan-Maina Mayor’s Office
