The Guam Public Health Laboratory (GPHL) will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. There will be no tests run on Monday. The GPHL will reopen on Tuesday. Physicians are reminded to follow storage requirements by ensuring specimens are refrigerated at 2-8°C.
COVID-19 test results are reported from multiple labs at varying times of the day. The cumulative total from all labs will be reported on a nightly basis, unless unavailable. The following breakdown provides cumulative COVID-19 test results for Sunday, May 24, 2020:

The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 97 individuals for COVID-19 on Sunday, May 24, 2020 with conclusive results. Zero tested positive through DPHSS and 97 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.
One additional COVID-19 case was confirmed by the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority and was reported earlier today.
To date, there have been 166 cases confirmed through COVID-19 testing provided with 5 deaths and 138 released from isolation. New criteria for release of cases from isolation were implemented on May 22. For persons having symptoms, at least 10 days have passed since recovery defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever- reducing medications and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath) and any other symptoms attributed to COVID-19 infection AND at least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared—or, with recurrent symptoms, at least 10 days have passed since recurrent symptoms appeared—AND at least 14 days have passed since the date of their first (or most recent) positive COVID-19 diagnostic test. For persons without symptoms, at least 14 days have passed since the date of their first (or most recent) positive COVID-19 diagnostic test assuming they have not subsequently developed symptoms since their positive test.
Quarantine Transfer
Over 60 individuals completing their mandatory 14-day quarantine in Hotel Santa Fe have been transferred to Oceanview Garden Court due to issues with the current facility. The move will not affect an individual's scheduled release date.
