GWA Update:
The Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA) has lifted its precautionary boil-water notice in all areas with stable water service, meaning areas with adequate pressure, chlorine residual levels in the water, and water sampling and analysis which indicate the water in GWA’s distribution system is clear of any contaminants.
As of 2 p.m., June 13, 2023 GWA lifted its Precautionary Boil Water Notice completely for the Southern Water System, which includes all areas served by the Ugum Surface Water Treatment Plant from Ipan Talofofo to Umatac.
For the Northern and Central Water Systems, GWA is adjusting its Precautionary Boil Water Notice which will now be applicable only to the village of Mangilao, and isolated areas in Barrigada, Ordot-Chalan Pago, Dededo, and Yigo.

Disaster Debris Disposal Sites Operational 9 A.M. - 6 P.M.:
The three typhoon debris disposal sites located at the old transfer station in Dededo, the former Tiyan carnival grounds in Barrigada, and Ypao Point in Tamuning are operational from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., seven days a week.

Tires are no longer accepted at debris disposal sites

Green waste is no longer being accepted at the old transfer station in Dededo due to capacity

High volumes of waste are being disposed at the three sites and delays are expected when DPW crews are on site to increase capacities for household trash

Scavenging through waste is strictly prohibited
Capacity Advisory for Green Waste Sites:
As of 3 p.m. today, the Agana Heights, Astumbo, Dededo, Mangilao, and Yigo green waste transition sites are at 100% capacity and are no longer accepting green waste at this time.
The Hagatna, MTM, and Talofofo Green Waste Sites are at 90% capacity. The Ordot, Sinajana, and Asan Green Waste sites are at 80% capacity. Residents with green waste are urged to visit the disaster debris disposal sites at the former Tiyan carnival grounds in Barrigada or Ypao Point in Tamuning.
Contractors License Board Extends Renewal Deadline:
The Contractors License Board has extended this year’s renewal deadline from June 30, 2023 to August 31, 2023. A Contractors License is required for those performing construction work as defined in 21 GCA Real Property CH 70 Contractors (Public Law 30-11).
§ 70100 (b) Contractor means any person who undertakes to construct, alter, repair, add to, subtract from, improve, move, wreck or demolish any building, highway, road, railroad, excavation or other structure, project development or improvement or do any part thereof, including the erection of scaffolding or other structure of works in connection therewith for another person for a fee.
§ 70108 (a) No person within the purview of this Chapter shall act, or assume to act, or advertise, as a general engineering contractor, a general building contractor or a specialty contractor without a license previously obtained under and in compliance with this Chapter and the rules and regulations of the Contractors License Board (CLB).
§ 70121 - Violation, Penalty. Any person who violates or omits to comply with any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be fined an amount no less than Two Hundred Dollars ($200) but not to exceed fifty percent (50%) of the value of the project.
