  • Southern Region Community Health Center: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and extended to Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. until further notice.

The DPHSS Senior Centers and Adult Day Care Centers will all remain closed today, April 17, 2026, due to ongoing recovery efforts following Typhoon Sinlaku.

These closures will remain in place until power and water services are fully restored to ensure the safety and well-being of participants and staff. The Department continues to assess conditions across all service areas. A follow-up press release will be issued with additional updates as recovery efforts progress. Guam VA Clinic Operations

VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPICHS) Guam VA Clinic resumed operations today at 9 a.m. The Saipan VA Clinic will remain closed today.

All impacted appointments will be rescheduled, and Veterans will be contacted directly with their new appointment information.

Temporary Park Closures and Cemetery Notice

The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) advised all public parks are closed until further notice. DPR personnel are currently conducting mandatory damage assessments across all sites. These assessments must be completed before cleaning can commence or facilities can safely reopen. Stay out of the water. High-risk conditions endanger both you and the first responders—including Park Police—who are called upon to perform life-saving rescues.

  • Hazardous Water Conditions: The public is strongly advised to refrain from entering the water. Post-storm conditions have resulted in dangerous, strong currents that pose a significant threat to swimmers and divers.

  • Phased Reopening: Parks will be reopened in sections as soon as they are deemed safe. Please be mindful that maintenance crews will continue to work on-site even as specific areas are cleared for public use.

Tiguac Cemetery Access

Tiguac Cemetery is currently under a temporary closure for emergency cleanup and debris removal.

  • Burials: Scheduled burial services will continue as planned.

  • General Public: The cemetery remains closed to the general public until debris has been removed. We estimate a 7-day closure before the grounds can safely reopen for visitors.

The DPR Main Office and Paseo de Susana Stadium sustained substantial damage during the storm.

  • DPR Office: The office is currently closed to the public until power is restored. However, staff are on-site and actively working on cleaning and recovery efforts.

  • SHPO/GHPO: The State/Guam Historic Preservation Office will remain closed until the Guam Power Authority (GPA) restores electricity. Personnel are currently on-site conducting assignments and clearing office debris.
