GHS/OCD, MRFC Monitor Open Source Reports of Simulated Video

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including open source reports of a purported China Air Force video simulating an attack on what some in the media are suggesting appears to be Guam.

“Based on available data, there is no indication that there is an imminent threat for Guam or the Marianas, at this time,” stated Major General (GU) Esther Aguigui, Acting Homeland Security Advisor. “We will continue to monitor events surrounding our region, in coordination with our local, military and federal partners.”

The community is advised to report any suspicious activity or social media posts relating to the subject to the MRFC online at https://mlrin.org/ or email mrfc@ghs.guam.gov, following the Department of Homeland Security’s campaign, “If You See Something, Say Something.”
