GHS/OCD Hosts Continuity Planning and Instructional Presentation Training Opportunities

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will host three training opportunities at the GHS/OCD facility in Agana Heights:
  • Tuesday, January 31 – Wednesday, February 1, 2023, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Continuity Planning (L-1301)
    • The two-day training is offered at no cost to eligible participants and is designed for continuity planners throughout the Whole Community. The course assists continuity practitioners with understanding of their continuity roles and responsibilities, and provides them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to help develop and maintain a viable continuity plan for their organization.
    • The target audience for the course include all levels of government and whole community partners.

  • Thursday, February 2 – Friday, February 3, 2023, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Continuity of Operations Management (L-1302)
    • The two-day training is offered at no cost to eligible participants and is designed to provide continuity planners and program managers the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to help them develop a holistic continuity capability.
    • The target audience for the course include all levels of government and whole community partners.

  • Tuesday, February 7 – Friday, February 10, 2023, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Instructional Presentation and Evaluation Skills (L0141)
    • The four-day training is offered at no cost to eligible participants and is designed to provide the knowledge related to training adults, skills to present, facilitate and evaluate training, and an opportunity to apply this knowledge during classroom exercises.
    • The target audience for the course include those who have responsibility to deliver instructional presentations and webinars, facilitate discussions, and conduct briefings.
