Some locations that will experience flooding include Ordot-Chalan Pago, Yona, Agana Heights, Asan, Merizo, Piti, and Santa Rita.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
A high surf advisory remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan until 4 a.m. Wednesday. Large breaking waves of 9 to 11 feet are expected in the surf zone.
A high risk of rip currents remains in effect for west and north facing reefs of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan through late Tuesday night. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from the shore into deeper water. Remain out of the water.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) remind the community to practice caution while traveling in rainy conditions, driving below the speed limit and allowing enough braking distance between vehicles. Avoid hazardous surf and dangerous rip currents, especially west north facing reefs and beaches. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags, and signs.
