FEMA Hosts FY23 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Webinars

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in an effort to provide the community with the most up to date information on potential grant funding, encourages participation in the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) upcoming virtual webinars regarding the fiscal year (FY) 2023 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).

FEMA’s HMGP provides funding to state, local, tribal and territorial governments so they can develop hazard mitigation plans and rebuild in a way that reduces, or mitigates, future disaster losses in their communities. The webinars will provide information and insights for potential future sub-applicants to build successful applications with HMGP as part of FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA).

The webinars are designed for leaders and key stakeholders interested in learning more about and applying for HMGP. The dates and times follow:
  • Building a Successful Safe Room Application: Thurs., April 27, 2023; from 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. (ChST)
  • Building a Successful Acquisition Application: Thurs., May 4, 2023; from 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. (ChST)
