12:10 p.m. Tropical Disturbance to Pass Through the Marianas Tuesday; Significant Impacts not Expected

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office advised that significant impacts are not expected with a tropical disturbance, Invest 95W, as it passes through the Marianas Tuesday. Currently located southeast of Guam near 12N149E, it will continue generally northwestward, passing through the Marianas tomorrow as a weak disturbance. Development of the system, if any, is likely days away and will occur well northwest of our region in the Philippine Sea. 

Although there are no significant weather impacts expected for the Marianas, residents should expect increasing showers, the potential for some locally heavy rainfall, isolated thunderstorms and periods of gusty winds across Guam and CNMI as 95W moves through the region Tuesday.
