The Guam Police Department (GPD) and Guam Fire Department (GFD) are on scene, and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit has been requested. Residents in the surrounding units where the ordnance is located have been requested to evacuate safely until assessments are completed. There are no road closures at this time. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
The community is reminded to practice the “3Rs of Explosive Safety” when any UXO is encountered:
- Recognize - when you may have encountered a munition and that munitions are dangerous.
- Retreat - do not approach, touch, move, or disturb it, but carefully leave the area.
- Report - call 911 and advise of what you saw and where you saw it.
