Earthquake Recorded

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.6 that struck 20 km N of Yigo Village, Guam, with a depth of 128.3 km, at 10:43 a.m. (ChST).

Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution in Heavy Rain

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect for Guam until 10 a.m. this morning. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 0.4 and 1.2 inches of rain has already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.4 to 1 inch are expected, resulting in minor flooding.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.0 that struck 60 km NNE of Yigo Village, Guam, with a depth of 107.4 km, at 12:29 p.m. (ChST).
