JIC RELEASE NO. 775 - 151st COVID-19-related Fatality Reported; COVID-19 Hospital Census: 51; COVID-19 Test Results: 197 New Cases; COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Opens at UOG Next Week; Last Day to Pick Up SNAP P-EBT Cards at Micronesia Mall; Additional COV

The Joint Information Center (JIC) was notified that Guam’s 151st COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) at approximately 8:36 a.m. on September 2, 2021. The patient was an 85-year-old female, unvaccinated who had tested positive for COVID-19.
   

Tropical Disturbance to Pass South of Guam; Showery Weekend Expected

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office continues to monitor a weak tropical disturbance south of Guam, near 10 degrees north latitude and 145 degrees east longitude. This broad disturbance is generating showers and thunderstorms across Chuuk and Pohnpei. Showers are expected to spread to the Marianas this weekend. The disturbance is forecast to move slowly west today through Saturday.

 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 773 - 150th COVID-19-related Fatality Reported; COVID-19 Hospital Census: 45; COVID-19 Test Results: 181 New Cases; Additional COVID-19 Updates

The Joint Information Center (JIC) was notified that Guam’s 150th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) at approximately 5:28 a.m. on September 1, 2021. The patient was a 75-year-old male, unvaccinated without any reported underlying health conditions who had tested positive for COVID-19.
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 770 - DPHSS Form SA-01 Available; COVID-19 Hospital Census: 29; Preliminary Results: 84 of 1,002 Test Positive for COVID-19; More COVID-19 Updates

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) issued Form SA-01, relative to declaration of individuals attesting to COVID-19 vaccination to enter establishments, in accordance with Section B, Item 2(a)(i) of DPHSS Guidance Memo 2021-21. CLICK HERE to download Form SA-01. Under DPHSS Guidance Memo 2021-21, covered establishments may accept self-attestation as proof of vaccination. Covered establishments must keep self-attestation forms on file for a period of thirty (30) days and present them to DPHSS upon request.
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 769 - DPHSS Issues Guidance Memo 2021-21

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) issued DPHSS Guidance Memo 2021-21, relative to the limitations on social gatherings and congregations, and suspending in-person learning, in accordance with Executive Order No. 2021-21. DPHSS Guidance Memo 2021-21 also provides further clarifications on the vaccination requirements for establishments, activities, and organized sports in accordance with Executive Order No. 2021-20.
