High Risk of Rip Currents Remains Along East Reefs and Beaches; Avoid Large Surf and Dangerous Rip Currents

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office continues to monitor all activity in the region, including Tropical Storm Nyatoh, as it continues moving away from the Marianas. At 1 a.m., the tropical storm was located 13.1 degrees north latitude and 137.2 degrees east longitude, about 510 miles west of Guam. It was moving west at 7 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.
