The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) invite the community to participate in Earthquake Preparedness Week (EPW), August 2-8, 2021. The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.3 and later upgraded to an 8.2, that occurred 91 km ESE of Perryville, Alaska, at 4:15 p.m. ChST, with a depth of 46.7 km.

Eight (8) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 397 tests performed on July 27. Four (4) cases were identified through contact tracing. To date, there have been a total of 8,522 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 143 deaths, 54 cases in active isolation, and 8,325 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.2.
