Guam remains in Condition of Readiness (COR) 1. All military bases remain in Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) 1. Remain indoors and off the roads until COR 4 is announced.
Governor Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero, Lieutenant Governor Joshua F. Tenorio, the Guam Department of Public Works (DPW), the Mayor’s Council of Guam (MCOG), and other Government of Guam partners will conduct an initial windshield assessment at first light tomorrow.
Assessment teams will evaluate roadway conditions, infrastructure, public facilities, utility impacts, debris, flooding, and other hazards across the island to determine whether conditions are safe for the public.
Residents are asked to remain in their homes until an official announcement regarding COR 4 is made. Limiting travel will allow assessment teams and emergency crews to safely identify hazards, clear roadways, and restore essential services.
Joint Region Marianas Update
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, as daylight allows for safe damage assessments, Joint Region Marianas and its installations will enter an active recovery phase, allowing emergency responders and assessment teams to evaluate damage, identify hazards, and begin restoration efforts.
This transition is not an all clear and does not mean normal operations have resumed. Residents should continue exercising caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and monitor official updates as damage assessments and recovery operations continue across Guam.
Installation facilities and base services will remain closed during the active recovery phase. Additional information regarding installation access, the restoration of services, and specific guidance will be provided by JRM as recovery operations progress.
