GWA Boil Water Notice for Customers Without Water for 48 Hours or Longer
The Guam Waterworks Authority advises customers a precautionary boil water notice is in effect for customers who have lost water for 48 hours or more. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT APPLY TO CUSTOMERS WHO DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANY LOSS IN WATER SERVICE.
For customers who experienced a loss in water for 48 hours or more, it is MANDATORYto boil your water and are advised:

DO NOT DRINK WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST

Bring water to a boil, allow it to boil for 3 minutes, and let it cool before using

Boiled water can be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, food preparation, and washing dishes.
Evacuation Center Update from Guam DOE as of 8:00 am today
All evacuation centers have water. Maria Ulloa Elementary School is on island power; Astumbo and Machananao Elementary Schools are on generator power.
TOTAL NUMBER OF EVACUEES as of 8:00am Wednesday July 8th is 462.
GDOE CENTRAL OFFICE CLOSED
The Guam Department of Education’s central office in Tiyan is closed due to lack of power and water. GDOE employees assigned to Tiyan are working virtually and are ready to assist any customers or stakeholders. Please manauta@gdoe.net if you are looking to contact central office staff or programs.
US Coast Guard Operations in Apra Harbor as of 9:00am today
USCGS and partners continue to conduct assessments in Guam’s Apra Harbor, Micronesia’s largest deepwater port and arrival point for supplies for Guam and transhipments to neighboring islands. As of 9 a.m. July 8, the Port Authority of Guam remains in ZULU status and closed to commercial maritime traffic.

Harbor Entrance Buoy 2 is off station in the channel and must be moved prior to harbor re-opening. This is an action item for Coast Guard crews and partners today.

Helicopter aerial assessment has taken place.

Stay out of the water and off jetties, piers, and docks. High Surf Warning, Coastal Flood Advisory, and Hazardous Seas Warning are in effect.
