Business Sector Damage Assessment Survey Begins Today
The Business Sector Disaster Damage Assessment (BSDDA) Survey begins today and continue through next Tuesday July 14, 2026. It will assess damages sustained by business establishments as a result of Super Typhoon Bavi. Government of Guam personnel will conduct the damage assessment survey via telephone calls or in-person visits. All Government officials conducting this survey will have their government-issued ID. The BSP office has established a survey link should your business prefer to answer independently. In order to provide real time data, it is kindly requested this web survey be completed no later than 4 pm, Tuesday, July 14, 2026. DYA GSYEP
The Department of Youth Affairs (DYA) has completed assessments of its facilities and operational capabilities and has determined the following operational status:

Youth Correctional Facility and Cottage Homes Facility Visitation. Individuals wishing to visit residents should call (671) 735-5022 prior to traveling to the facility to confirm whether visitation will be permitted that day.

DYA Summer Camps at the DYA Lagu, Kattan, and Håya Youth Resource Centers will remain closed
until power and running water have been fully restored.

Governor's Summer Youth Employment Program (GSYEP) Summer youth employees may report to work beginning today, Wednesday, July 8, 2026, provided their assigned worksite is safe and operational.
Stay Out of the Water - Conditions are Life-Threatening
As Super Typhoon Bavi has exited the region through the night, the following advi sories remain in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan:

Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Dangerously large breaking waves up to 20 feet, decreasing to 10 to 15 tonight. Minor coastal flooding expected.

High Surf Warning in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday. Dangerous surf heights of 1 to 3 feet can be expected through at least this afternoon. Everyone should remain out of the water due to life-threatening surf conditions.
