AMERICAN RED CROSS SHELTER OPERATIONS TO CONCLUDE JULY 31
The American Red Cross will close its Super Typhoon Bavi shelters on Friday, July 31, 2026, ending operations at the Chalan Pago-Ordot Multipurpose Emergency Center and the Astumbo Gym. Support for affected residents does not end when the shelters close. Residents still in the shelters are meeting with a Red Cross transition team before closing day to build a personalized recovery plan, and caseworkers will stay with them after they leave.
Any resident impacted by the storm can reach the American Red Cross Guam Chapter at (671) 472-6217. Callers are connected to the Red Cross Contact Center and directed based on their needs.
