Final Daily Power System Restoration Status
The Guam Power Authority (GPA) has restored 99% of the islandwide power system load and is concluding its daily power restoration updates following Super Typhoon Bavi. GPA remains in Phase III of its restoration process, with crews continuing to address isolated outages and other typhoon-related power issues across the northern, central, and southern sectors.

Crews are responding to reports of power failures, intermittent service, voltage fluctuations, and single-phasing issues, while completing emergency work clearances that require customer-side repairs. Once Phase III is complete, GPA will begin Phase IV, which will focus on streetlight repairs and replacements and other power quality concerns.

Customers without power or experiencing power quality issues are encouraged to contact the GPA Customer Service Call Center at (671) 647-5787/88/89, email customersfirst@gpagwa.com, or send a direct message to GPA’s Facebook page. 

Customers who have completed an Emergency Work Clearance should contact the call center or GPA Dispatch at (671) 475-1472/3/4 to request reconnection. Customer service assistance will remain available daily from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Friday, July 17, 2026.


Parks and Recreational Facilities Update
Staff and participants in the Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program have been supporting cleanup efforts at Department of Parks and Recreation parks, beaches, and historic sites affected by Super Typhoon Bavi.

Angel Santos Memorial Park in Hagåtña has reopened. Governor Joseph Flores Memorial Park, also known as Ypao Beach Park, is open, except for an area near the Hilton side of the park that remains barricaded for safety. Cleanup efforts will next focus on Matapang Beach Park.

The heavily impacted Paseo Peninsula will remain closed through the Liberation Day holiday weekend and is expected to reopen on Wednesday, July 22. The Chamorro Village Night Market is also expected to resume that evening.


Port Authority of Guam Updates
The GPA bucket trucks that arrived last night were placed into service almost immediately to support ongoing power restoration efforts.Port officials said the offloading of the vehicles at H-Wharf marked a first for the Port Authority of Guam and was completed through a highly coordinated effort involving several Government of Guam agencies and federal partners.


American Red Cross Coordinates Services at Chalan Pago-Ordot Shelter
Following the opening of the Tier II shelter at the Chalan Pago-Ordot Community Center on Tuesday, the American Red Cross is coordinating meals and other support services for more than 200 shelter residents.

As of Wednesday, the shelter census included 107 adults, 70 children, eight infants, and 19 senior citizens age 65 and older. The Department of Public Health and Social Services, Guam Police Department, and other agencies are also supporting efforts to assist residents displaced from their homes during or immediately after Super Typhoon Bavi.
