90 water wells are online, 59 on island power.
27 booster pump stations are online, 11 are on island power.
All 5 wastewater treatment plants are online. 2 are on island power.
80 sewer pump stations are online, 53 on island power.
GWA has 43,646 customers. 2,521 in various parts of the island are still without water. GWA has deployed water tankers and flexitanks to the following areas experiencing low to no water pressure:
Santa Teresita Church, Mangilao
Chalan Palauan, Dededo (Ironwood)
Astumbo Senior Center, Dededo
Machanao, Dededo (new UR Market)
Piga Subdivision, Dededo
Barrigada Library
Chalan La Chance and Chalan Tomin, Yigo
GWA is aware of additional areas throughout the island with water pressure issues, including low to no pressure.
Conservation is critical to restoring service stabilization. Emergency Water Conservation Measures Are In Effect. GWA continues to receive reports of pressure washing and car washing while parts of our system remain depleted. To protect the recovery, inspectors are visiting homes and businesses to seek compliance with these emergency conservation measures. We are asking every household and business to stop washing vehicles and stop all pressure washing until every zone has been fully pressurized.
Water Quality Testing distribution system sampling and analysis continues as more of the distribution system is restored. Results are made public as soon as they become available.
Distribution system sampling and analysis began July 7. Samples were collected from points in Agana Heights,
Barrigada, Barrigada Heights, Chalan Pago-Ordot, Dededo, Hagåt, Hagåtña, Harmon, Humåtak, Inalåhan, Maina, Maite, Malesso', Malojloj, Mangilao, Nimitz Hill, Sinajana, Tamuning, Toto, Tumon, Yigo, and Yona.
All 101 water samples collected July 7–10 are confirmed NEGATIVE for total coliform. GWA's Utility Compliance Lab technicians collected 3 additional samples in Dededo, Finegayan and Yona on July 11 and will continue sampling as more of the distribution system is restored. Results will be reported to the public as they become available.
Precautionary Boil Water Notice for customers who sustain a loss of water service for 48 hours or more remains in effect. Customers who experienced a loss in water service for less than 48 hours may also wish to take precaution and are advised of the following:

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.

Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for three (3) minutes, and let it cool before using.

Boiled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice.

Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
GPA Update 100% of GPA transmission lines and substations are energized. Total generation capacity is 266 MW of which about 60% is being consumed. GPA is able to produce enough electricity to meet customer needs.
Customers who remain without power may be on feeders that have yet been energized, maybe in smaller outage pockets, or may have damage requiring crews to return after main circuits are restored. The power authority is aware of all customer outages through its metering and monitoring systems. Calls to GPA dispatch should be limited to critical issues such as downed power lines, blown transformers, low-voltage conditions, or other safety concerns.
As power is restored customers may experience temporary voltage fluctuations that cause lights to flicker, dim, or partial power. If you experience these conditions, shut off your breaker and contact GPA. Storm damaged electrical equipment such as the weatherhead or meter socket must be repaired before power service can be restored.
NWS Advisories Expire A High Surf Advisory, High Rip Current Risk, and Small Craft Advisory from the National Weather Service Forecast Office at Tiyan all expired at 4:00 am today. The National Weather Service advises a moderate risk of rip currents exists through Thursday, July 16. Wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Always have a flotation device with you in the water.
