Five (5) Emergency Evacuation Centers Designated, Northern DPHSS Site Closed, GPD All Hands on Deck, MCOG & DPW to Provide Transportation
In preparation for Typhoon Bavi, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) will open the following Emergency Evacuation Centers beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5. Residents who anticipate needing emergency shelter should go to their nearest Emergency Evacuation Center before conditions deteriorate and bring essential supplies for every member of their household.
Emergency Evacuation Centers (EECs):

Residents Should Bring the Following Items:

A 7-day supply of food and water for each family member

Bedding
-
Personal hygiene products
-
Required medications
-
A 7-day supply of infant and toddler supplies, including diapers, formula, and baby food

A valid photo ID
-
Important documents, including birth certificates, passports, and immunization records
Shelter Reminders:
-
Registration is required upon arrival
-
Children must remain under parental supervision at all times
-
Alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, and pets are prohibited
-
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas
-
Cooking devices are not allowed
-
Individuals should remain at the shelter until authorities declare it safe to leave
Transportation Assistance:
Transportation to Emergency Evacuation Centers is available through village mayor's offices. Residents needing transportation should contact their village mayor's office as soon as possible to make arrangements.
H-2B Worker Reminder:
Employers, agencies, and contractors responsible for H-2B workers are responsible for providing housing for their workers. Public emergency evacuation centers are intended for residents who require emergency protective sheltering and should not be used as housing for H-2B workers.
DPHSS Northern Site Update:
Patients enrolled in the DPHSS Community 0–2 program who require shelter services should report to one of the designated Emergency Evacuation Centers.
Guam Police Department Evacuation Center Update:
The Guam Police Department has activated an all-hands response. Officers will be assigned to each Emergency Evacuation Center to provide security and assist shelter operations.
The Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center (GBHWC) Suicide & Crisis Lifeline remains available 24 hours a day. Individuals experiencing emotional distress before, during, or after the storm may call or text 988 or chat online at 988lifeline.org.
