Flood Advisory — Guam
Issued: July 19, 2026 — 4:15 p.m. ChST


The Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) advises residents that the National Weather Service
(NWS) Guam has issued a Flood Advisory for Guam, in effect until 6:15 p.m. ChST today, Sunday, July 19, 2026.


Current Status

Urban-area and small-stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Minor flooding may occur in low-lying
and poor drainage areas, including water over roadways.

At 3:18 p.m., rain gauges indicated heavy rainfall across the island. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain had fallen, with an
additional 1 to 2 inches expected. The additional rainfall may result in further minor flooding.


What You Should Do Now

Residents and motorists are advised to take the following precautions:

•  Do not drive through flooded roadways. Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
•  Avoid low-lying and poor drainage areas until conditions improve.
•  Monitor official updates from NWS Guam and GHS/OCD for changing weather conditions.
GHS/OCD continues to monitor conditions in coordination with NWS Guam and will provide additional information as
needed.
