The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office advised gusty winds and drying of vegetation will cause a high fire threat.
A fire weather watch is in effect from Friday morning through Monday morning for Guam. East winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts to 40 mph possible, and humidity at 45 to 60 percent, especially from late morning though sunset, are expected. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) remind the community to refrain from outdoor burning and be aware of any future advisories from NWS.
