The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) along with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), continue to receive reports of local telephone numbers receiving suspicious calls and messages or reported phishing scams from local, domestic and unusual or unexpected international area codes.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 that struck 86 km SSW of Merizo Village, Guam, with a depth of 29.9 km, at 8:23 p.m. (ChST).

As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is no tsunami threat to the Marianas from the earthquake. There were no major damages or injuries reported from the earthquake.

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect for all of Guam until 11:45 a.m. Heavy rain over Guam will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected.
